Madakasira village was under dynasty of Sri Krishna Devaraya. It is a historical place and also adjacent to Penugonda, which is kingdom of Sri Krishna Devaraya. It is not only historical place but also mythological tales to the temples surrounded to this village. It is near to famous Lepakshi Temple, Pavagada, NagulaMadaka, Hemavathi Temple and the holy place of Ratnagiri. The Simhamoothikonda is an ornament to this college. Apart from this, there is a Mitta Banda Anjaneya Swamy Temple beside the College. The Devotees of the Village people constructed a very big Sai Baba Temple in this area. For the welfare of the people, King Sri Krishna Devaraya constructed lake at nearby Hare Samudram village. Madakasira village is called 2nd Ooty over It ‘s very cool and beautiful atmosphere .The village population is approximately 32000.Recently, the village upgraded as Municipality.There are number of Educational Institutions established in this area.When we consider the educational saga that began with the birth of Sri Shantamma Y. Thimma Reddy Government UG & PG College situated at Madakasira Village, AnanthapurDistrcit. It is established during the year 1991.
